Are You The Next Inland Idol?

Auditions begin this Saturday, July 12th for this year’s Inland Idol.  The contest is open for people aged 7 – 18 years old and is broken up into three age divisions:

Division One:    AGE 7 through 10
Division Two:   AGE 11 through 14
Division Three: AGE 15 through 18

There will be three elimination rounds and will end with one winner per each age group.  The finalists will perform in front of a live audience and celebrity judges, competing for professional recording sessions, equipment and performance opportunities, amongst other prizes.  The rules page will give you all of the details, plus where to audition this weekend!

Inland Empire Idol: Are You A Winner?

I have not seen one American Idol episode this season. Not even the first rounds where they have all those embarrassing yet humorous “contestants”. I don’t even know who the front runners are or who the Sanjaya or William Hung is yet. But what do I need to know that for when we have our own Idol in the making?

The 66’ers are hosting the Inland Empire Idol this Saturday, March 1st at the Inland Center mall. Show up in front of the food court and take a stab at singing the National Anthem. You could end up singing it at the Arrowhead Credit Union Park and win a $25 dollar gift card too. Go for it. This could be your chance of a lifetime. You know you won’t make it on American Idol. You’re probably too old for that. There’s no age limit on this contest. Preregister at 10 am or check out the 66’ers site for more details.

On to other entertainment… Semi Pro comes out this weekend. Oh. My. God. I heart Will Farrell so much and I’ve been looking forward to seeing this movie since Jessi, Erick and Sam worked as extras on it. If I weren’t picking up someone from the airport, I’d go see it right now at the Plaza.
