Near Riot at Wal-Mart

Popular singer Jenni Rivera appeared at the Van Buren Wal-Mart yesterday, September 10th, for an in-store CD signing.  Organizers had no idea that Ms. Rivera had such rabid fans in the I.E.  An estimated three to four thousand fans showed up, with about a thousand in line inside the store.  People waiting in line were said to have become “impatient and unruly” and started wrecking the place and stealing items from the store.  Ms. Rivera was made aware of the crowd’s bad behavior and elected to leave.  Officers facilitated safe departures for her and others involved before making an announcement that the CD signing was cancelled.  After that, the store manager made the announcement and asked those waiting in line to leave.  A few minor fights broke out but the rest of the crowd left in an orderly mannner.   Officers waited outside as well while the announcement was made to the other thousands, and no further problems were reported.

Has anyone been to The Pines @ San Manuel?  It’s being called “the new hotspot of the I.E.” by KGGI. 5 Cent will be hosting Friday night.
